Autumn Book Tag: Are You ready for Sweater Weather?

We joke about our weather here in my country and we say that we have four seasons too – dry and dryer, then wet and wetter. (I know it’s 🌽) To my readers who live in countries that actually have four seasons, living in a tropical country would be heaven – warm year round with a smattering of typhoons for about half the year. While for us, we dream about experiencing Autumn and Winter.

There are a few months in the year though when the air becomes cooler and we get to wear lite sweaters at home and when we go out. In the spirit of praying for that cooler weather I’m doing this tag I found at The Bookish Chick. Yes to sweater weather please.

Are You Ready for Sweater Weather Book Tag

I wish it was sweater weather all year round.

1. Hot Chocolate: What is your comfort book?

These 2 have always been the books that I reread over and over. They feel like coming home to a familiar face and a warm embrace. They haven’t failed me yet.

2. Pumpkin Carving: What is your favorite creative outlet?

I write, create bullet journals, sometimes I scrap book. I’ve been thinking about learning how to knit recently. Current project – paper mache pumpkin.

3. Falling Leaves: Changes that appear bad but you secretly love?

I honestly don’t know how to answer this because I’ve never encountered a change that seems bad but I actually love.

4. Pumpkin Spiced Latte: Something you love that others tend to judge?

Reading, Seriously. I have a ton of non-reader friends and most of my coworkers don’t read books either. They always see me with a book in hand. Can’t say they do or don’t judge but sometimes it feels like it.

5. Bonfire Night: What makes you explode with joy?

Waking from uninterrupted sleep, rested. I haven’t had a great nights sleep in ages. Maybe I need a vacation longer than 2 days.

6. Fright Night: Favorite scary film or book?

Scary book. I love reading thrillers and books that give me the chills. I remember loving reading the short stories in Twitter with the hashtag #ManilaEncounters. They started out with rally creepy stories.

7. Halloween Candy: Favorite thing to eat?

I don’t really eat candy anymore, or any sort of sweets for that matter so if I’m having a sweet craving I gravitate towards my favorite fruits – watermelon, pineapple, papaya, grapes, etc.

8. Scarves: Your must-have accessory?

Hands down, I would say bags. I have to have a place where I can put my wallet, coin purse, and phone. I hate putting stuff in my pockets so it’s bags for me. I also never leave home without my watch. Even if the time was readily available on my phone I’d always still check my watch. I also never remove my rings.

9. Fire: A book or film that burns your soul?

OMG I cannot choose.

10. Toffee Apples: A book or film that seems one thing but really has a different inside?

I thought this movie was going to be something close to an anti superhero movie but d*amn it wasn’t. Sure it’s about Joker, Gotham City, the Wayne family. More than that, it’s about the truth in the reality of humans. It doesn’t matter whether you suffer from mental illness or not.

This movie will make you think and reflect on who you are in society and who society see you as.

You can read more about my review of this movie here.

There you go folks! I don’t know about you but I’d love some hard rain or even a cool breeze right now. This humidity and sunshine is just too much.

  1. Those #ManilaEncounters are so spooky I love it! This tag made me realize how upset I am that it is still warm where I live because I can’t wear any fun sweaters :/ I might end up doing this tag to console myself because it looks so fun!!

  2. Nice answers! I would love for it to start raining here! Where I live, there are kind of seasons, but it also seems to skip from 90 degree weather to 50 degrees! So, I have to make the most out of the week of autumn that exists!
